Good questions.
How does the free first kit work?
When your campaign reaches its funding goal with settled sponsor payments, and the margin covers production and shipping, your first kit is produced by BackMyKit at no cost to you. It is conditional, once per athlete and subject to terms. It is not an unconditional giveaway.
What does BackMyKit charge?
A platform fee on each sponsorship (illustratively 25%, fixed per campaign when you publish it). Estimated earnings are shown before refunds, payment fees and checks are final.
What exactly does a sponsor get?
An exclusive, physical logo placement on the athlete’s kit in the agreed zone. Online posts or event appearances are included only if explicitly agreed. We do not promise impressions, reach or results.
How long does a custom kit take?
Kits are made to order after your campaign is funded and the design is locked. Lead times depend on the supplier and are confirmed before production starts.
What about refunds?
Customised apparel is generally excluded from consumer withdrawal rights. Sponsors are refunded if a campaign fails, a logo is rejected or an order cannot be fulfilled. The returns terms are a draft and still need legal review.
When is a sponsor logo visible?
Logos are checked by our team first. Until approved, only the sponsor sees a preview. Approved logos appear on the public design and in production files.
Are there competition rules for sponsor logos?
Yes. Many races and federations restrict clothing sponsors, and some categories such as alcohol or gambling are limited. Athletes are responsible for checking the rules of the events they enter.
